Robert Willis is a criminal defense attorney located in Chicago, Illinois. His office, Willis & Associates focuses primarily on Criminal Defense with the capability to offer assistance with civil matters as required.
Licensed to practice in the state of Illinois since 1984. Robert concentrates in criminal law. He represents persons accused of crimes ranging from misdemeanor drug offenses to capital murder. His practice includes representation in both the state and federal courts and encompasses trial litigation, post-conviction litigation and appeals.
Robert’s experience includes employment with the North Central Legal Assistance Foundations in North Carolina, 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Illinois, and Cook County Public Defender’s Office.
Robert received his B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN and his Juris Doctor from Antioch School of Law in Washington, D.C. He also received a Juris Doctor from the Ghana School of Law in Ghana, West Africa. Robert is active in the community, he teaches criminal law and procedure in street law programs, high schools, colleges and seminars given by the Office of the Cook County Public Defender. He is also active in various professional associations such as; the National Conference of Black Lawyers, Chicago Conference of Black Lawyers, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Illinois Attorneys for Criminal Justice.
